On March 8, with the slow rotation of the cutterhead of the "Qijie" shield machine, the right line shield machine of the second phase of Qingdao Metro Line 2 from Hechuan Road Station to Hanchuan Road Station was successfully launched by the 25th Bureau of China Railway, which is the first unit to complete the "double start" on the whole line.
The second phase of Qingdao Metro Line 2 is 8.9 kilometers long, starting from Licun Park Station (not included) and ending at Expo Park Station, including 8 stations and 10 sections, and the 25th Bureau of China Railway undertakes the construction of two stations and two sections including Foerya Station, Hechuan Road Station, Fohe Section and Hehan Section, with a total length of about 2 kilometers.

Among them, it is planned to invest two shield equipment in the section between Hechuan Road Station and Hanchuan Road Station to carry out the left and right line tunneling respectively. The "Qijie" shield machine started from Hechuan Road Station, excavated eastward, and received at Hanchuan Road Station, responsible for the construction task of the right line, with a section length of 567.55 meters. In order to prevent the cutterhead from "mud cake" and improve the construction efficiency, in addition to reasonably controlling the excavation thrust, it is also necessary to choose a heavy-duty disc cutter with strong rock breaking ability, in addition, it is necessary to overcome technical problems such as water and sand gushing, difficulty in maintaining pressure on the tunnel face, and waterproof failure of segment sealing.
In order to ensure a smooth start, the project department actively set up a shield construction "think tank", and they planned ahead to add a variety of intelligent systems such as shield tail clearance measurement system, muck real-time weighing system and cabin safety system with an accuracy of less than 5 mm for the "Qijie" shield machine. At the same time, the optimization of risk source treatment plans and emergency measures were formulated to ensure the smooth launch of the shield machine.
Since entering the site, the work of the project has been promoted from "high quality and stable speed" to "high quality and high efficiency", following the opening of the first diversion road on the whole line, the first to enter the construction of the enclosure structure, the first to complete the acceptance of excavation conditions, the first station to enter the main construction, the first to complete the earthwork excavation, the first shield tunneling, the first station capping, and the first shield penetration, the unit once again led the whole line with "nine firsts", and the project construction made breakthroughs.
It is reported that the second phase of Qingdao Metro Line 2 is the main traffic artery connecting the eastern part of Licang and the central urban area of Licun, which is of great significance for improving the urban network structure on the east coast, driving the planning and development of the eastern part of Licang District and the Expo Park area, and improving the traffic environment and travel conditions of citizens along the line, and creating an important role in creating "Qingdao on the track".
